Edinburgh Playhouse

AKA Scotland worked with Edinburgh Playhouse to deliver the media campaign for their 2018 Christmas show Kinky Boots.

Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price who is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son. With the shoe factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola – a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.

The media campaign consisted of print ads in local and national titles, high impact digital outdoor, small format roadside to build reach and frequency, highly targeted GDN activity and several bursts of 30” spot airtime on STV where we secured excellent peak spots in I’m a Celebrity and the X Factor. Additionally, this TV activity was supported by activity on STV Player to extend reach further.

 The show is now on tour to venues across the UK until November 2019.
